Échos de Matérialité: Variations Géométriques

16.08.2025 – 20.09.2025

The exhibition Echoes of Materiality: Geometric Variations invites visitors on a sensory and contemplative journey in which materials and geometric forms enter into dialogue with the space and the viewer.

The title refers on the one hand to the expressive richness of the materials – their textures, weights, temperatures and resonances – and on the other hand to the creative diversity of the geometric forms that make up each work. The “echoes” represent the subtle and constant voice of matter that lingers in the viewer’s perception. The “variations” refer to the diverse explorations and modulations of the geometric, which is understood here not as a rigid structure, but as a living entity that reacts to its surroundings and the viewer’s gaze.

As philosopher Gaston Bachelard said, “Matter is an echo that speaks in the resonance of its forms.” This is precisely what every work in this exhibition strives to do: to vibrate, to grow and to engage in a constant dialogue with the viewer. Eduardo Chillida’s quote, “Everything that grows vibrates and blends in” sums up the spirit of this exhibition: works that unfold from the simple to the complex, from the tangible to the sensual.

Also inspired by artists such as Anish Kapoor – who speaks of “the infinity contained in simplicity ” – this exhibition invites visitors to discover how geometry can be transformed into a poetic language that reveals the profound dimensions of human perception.
